Beekeeper Apprentice

Learn the art and science of beekeeping at our 200-hive operation producing raw honey, beeswax candles, and pollination services across coastal Maine. Responsibilities: • Assist with hive inspections and colony assessments • Help with honey extraction, bottling, and labeling • Build and repair hive equipment (frames, boxes, feeders) • Support queen rearing and nucleus colony production • Participate in spring and fall hive management • Help deliver hives for blueberry pollination contracts Requirements: • Strong interest in beekeeping and pollinator conservation • No bee sting allergies • Ability to lift 60+ lb honey supers • Comfortable working around stinging insects • Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols • Valid driver's license • No experience necessary — comprehensive training provided
