Draft Horse Teamster

Seeking an experienced teamster to work our 80-acre diversified farm using draft horse power. We are a horse-powered CSA and education farm committed to low-tech, sustainable agriculture. Responsibilities: • Harness, drive, and care for a team of Percherons • Plow, disc, cultivate, and harvest using horse-drawn equipment • Daily horse care including feeding, grooming, and health checks • Maintain and repair harness and horse-drawn implements • Lead educational workshops on draft horse farming • Assist with general farm work as needed Requirements: • Significant experience driving draft horses • Knowledge of horse health, nutrition, and hoof care • Ability to maintain and repair leather harness • Mechanical aptitude for implement maintenance • Teaching ability for public workshops • Strong work ethic and self-motivation
