Farm/Ranch Hand

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Ranch Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for agriculture and animal care, along with the ability to operate various tools and equipment. This role is essential in maintaining the ranch's operations, ensuring the well-being of livestock, and supporting various agricultural tasks. Duties • Perform daily care and feeding of animals, ensuring their health and well-being. • Utilize hand tools for maintenance of fences, barns, and other structures. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas. Requirements • Experience in cattle care is a must • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment effectively. • Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently. • Strong skills in using hand tools for various maintenance tasks. • Basic math skills for managing resources and calculating needs. • Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team. • We are looking to hire someone to help process cattle, check and rotate herds, tag calves, keep records, do daily feeding, and doctor sick calves. Other tasks will include spraying fences, cleaning bunks, fixing fences, maintaining equipment/vehicles, and cleaning all equipment/vehicles on a daily and weekly basis. There is plenty of room for growth in other areas of the ranch, depending on your experience, skill set, and work ethic. You must be honest, hard-working, dependable, and have a good attitude. We’re NOT looking for someone who wastes time talking or holding others up from their job, but someone who can keep themselves busy when working alone or with others.
