Goat Dairy Assistant

Small artisan goat dairy seeking a reliable assistant to help with daily milking, herd health, and cheesemaking. We produce award-winning aged chèvre and fresh goat cheese for farmers markets and specialty stores. Responsibilities: • Twice-daily milking of 60-head goat herd • Feeding, watering, and pasture rotation • Monitoring herd health and assisting with veterinary care • Assisting with cheesemaking and aging room maintenance • Cleaning and sanitizing milking equipment • Helping with kid rearing during spring season Requirements: • Experience with dairy animals preferred • Willingness to work early mornings and weekends • Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs • Interest in artisan food production • Reliable transportation
