Organic Vegetable Farm Apprentice (2027 Season)

New Morning Farm is recruiting organic vegetable and farmers market apprentices for the 2027 growing season, with possible late-fall or winter starts, at its farm in Hustontown, Pennsylvania. The apprenticeship Plant, manage weeds and pests, harvest, pack, and sell produce. Apprentices gradually take responsibility for individual crops and farm systems, with training, discussions, and visits to other farms. Requirements Commit to at least eight months, typically April or May through Thanksgiving, and live in the farm's housing. A valid driver's license is required. Prior vegetable farming experience is preferred. Applicants must be ready for demanding physical work in changing weather. Compensation The package includes approximately $1,400 monthly starting pay, housing, groceries, and farm produce. Experienced applicants may start higher. Wi-Fi costs are excluded.
