Permaculture Design Intern

Immersive 6-month permaculture internship on a 10-acre tropical food forest and education center on the Big Island of Hawaii. Learn by doing in one of the most biodiverse growing environments on Earth. Responsibilities: • Assist with food forest management and tropical crop care • Participate in permaculture design projects and earthworks • Help with composting, vermiculture, and biochar production • Support community workshops and volunteer work days • Maintain rainwater catchment and greywater systems • Document projects with photos, maps, and written reports Requirements: • Strong interest in permaculture and tropical agriculture • Willingness to do physical outdoor work in tropical climate • Basic gardening or farming experience helpful • Positive attitude and ability to live in community • Must commit to full 6-month program • Permaculture Design Certificate course included in internship
