2026 Farm Crew

Cincy Urban Farm is adding full-time and part-time crew members for its 2026 growing season. This half-acre intensive market garden grows a wide range of produce for a CSA, farm stand, and farmers markets, with everything sold within 25 miles of the farm. About the role Crew members take part in the complete crop cycle and help move produce from the field to customers. The work is physical, detailed, and often fast-paced. The farm emphasizes efficient systems, safe and ergonomic work habits, good time management, and a genuine interest in local organic food. Responsibilities • Harvest crops and handle post-harvest washing, packing, and storage • Prepare beds with broadforks, compost, and mulch • Seed, transplant, weed, trellis, and prune crops • Care for high-tunnel tomatoes and cucumbers • Prepare for and help operate the farm stand and farmers market booth • Make local deliveries in farm vehicles when assigned Qualifications • Able to perform repetitive outdoor work in changing weather • Able to lift 50 pounds regularly • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a crew • Organized, curious, dependable, and attentive to detail • Able to work quickly and safely while following training and instructions • Reliable transportation is required • Previous farm experience is helpful but not required Schedule The season runs from March through October, with the busiest period in July and August. Full-time positions are generally 35–40 hours per week; part-time positions are fewer than 30 hours. Paid overtime may be needed during peak harvest. Compensation and farm benefits Pay is $14–$16 per hour based on experience, with performance-based bonuses. Crew members may take home farm-grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs. The farm also offers a next-season commitment bonus after successful completion of the 2026 season. Housing is not provided, although the farm may help new crew members locate nearby options.
