Container Designer Team Member

Cold Creek Nurseries is hiring a part-time Container Designer Team Member. Create and maintain planted arrangements at the Aiken garden center and at customers' homes and businesses, while helping other team members develop their design skills. What you will do • Design indoor and outdoor containers using suitable plants, colors, textures, and growth habits. • Teach teammates how to reproduce designs and care for arrangements. • Monitor plant health, order stock, and maintain client records and photographs. • Build customer relationships and help develop the container-gardening business. How the work fits together Cold Creek began with the Walker family's hand-built greenhouse beside a tributary of the Savannah River. The growing business developed around trees, shrubs, and the goal of helping people create enjoyable outdoor spaces. Bill and Jen Tiszai became its owners in 2019 and continued that combination of horticulture and customer relationships. The nursery's approach emphasizes useful advice, quality plants, and cooperation among staff. Container gardens bring those elements into a compact form, whether the planting is intended for a home entrance, a business, or an indoor setting. This role joins the greenhouse team and carries its plant knowledge into individual design projects. It combines creative decisions with ongoing care, so the finished arrangement remains attractive as its plants grow and the seasons change. What the employer is looking for • Have container-gardening experience, plant-care knowledge, and strong design skills. • Be detail-oriented, friendly, receptive to feedback, and interested in growing customer relationships. • Have reliable transportation and authorization to work in the United States. Schedule, conditions, and compensation Flexible part-time scheduling is available within Monday–Saturday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Pay is discussed during hiring.
