Ground Operations Specialist

Oak Bros Tree Care is hiring for the Ground Operations Specialist position in Bloomington, IL. This hands-on role supports the operation's day-to-day production and care work. What you will do • Support assigned pruning, tree-care, brush processing, rigging, or ground operations within training and authorization. • Maintain controlled work and drop zones and communicate clearly around climbers, saws, chippers, ropes, and moving material. • Inspect equipment, organize tools and debris flow, and complete a thorough site cleanup. • Complete groundwork and assist crew leaders, aerial-lift specialists, and climbing specialists throughout tree-care operations. • Set up traffic, landing, drop, and work zones and handle ropes, basic knots, brush, chipper feeding, bucking, and equipment preparation as trained. • Follow the company's defensive-driving, job-briefing, emergency, chainsaw, chipper, and struck-by prevention practices. Every cut or material movement must account for coworkers, customers, buildings, utilities, traffic, and the remaining tree.
