Kauai Nursery & Landscaping is hiring for the Grounds Maintenance Team Member position in Lihue, HI. This hands-on role supports the operation's day-to-day production and care work. Reliable execution and early communication matter because the work directly affects plants, animals, equipment, coworkers, customers, or the surrounding property. What you will do • Complete assigned mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, bed care, and property cleanup to the employer's finish standard. • Inspect, use, clean, and secure assigned hand tools and powered landscape equipment safely. • Protect plants, irrigation, buildings, vehicles, customers, and coworkers while work is underway. • Maintain assigned landscapes and grounds through mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, bed care, and cleanup. • Handle plant and landscape materials and use assigned tools in dust, noise, weather, and active field conditions. • Communicate with coworkers and clients and keep properties, tools, and materials organized. How the work fits together Recurring landscape work is organized by route and property scope. The crew reviews priorities, prepares equipment, divides production and detail tasks, and checks the entire property before loading out. Team members must report plant stress, irrigation trouble, damage, unsafe conditions, or work outside the approved scope instead of concealing or guessing about it.
