Head Wrangler — Year-Round

Triangle X Ranch is hiring a Head Wrangler in Moose, beginning November 1, 2026. Lead fourteen wranglers and care for a riding herd of approximately 160 horses in a year-round position. What you will do • Train the crew, assist with hiring, and lead guest rides. • Assess riders, assign horses and saddles, and enforce safety procedures. • Monitor herd health, coordinate pasture rotations, and maintain corrals, tack areas, and trails. • Handle winter horse care, young-horse work, maintenance, and seasonal preparation. How the work fits together The Turner family's connection to this ranch began in 1926, when John S. Turner bought the property and started building a home with his sons. Its first visitors were hunters who stayed while construction was still underway. Later generations continued welcoming guests for riding, fishing, and time outdoors. In the early years, the ranch produced much of its own food, including vegetables, milk, and meat. Guests often joined practical ranch activities such as haymaking and roundups. The property became part of Grand Teton National Park in 1950, and the family continued operating the guest ranch as a park concession. Five generations have called Triangle X home. That long relationship with horses, visitors, and the surrounding landscape shapes the setting in which the riding team works today. Schedule, conditions, and compensation Compensation includes an annual salary, guest tips, and free year-round housing. Meals are included when staff dining operates: May–October and approximately mid-December–mid-March.
