Crew Landscapes is hiring for the Landscape Apprentice position in Chicago, IL. This hands-on role supports the operation's day-to-day production and care work. What you will do • Prepare sites and install assigned soil, plants, sod, mulch, edging, or landscape features to the approved plan. • Stage and handle plants, tools, and construction materials without damaging roots, finished work, or customer property. • Check layout, grade, drainage, irrigation, and finished detail with the crew lead throughout the project. • Learn site preparation, planting, soil and mulch placement, hardscape support, material handling, and finish work from experienced crew members. • Stage, carry, use, clean, and organize assigned hand tools, powered equipment, plants, and construction materials. • Follow plans and measurements, protect existing property, and develop consistent quality through each phase of the project. How the work fits together Installation work proceeds through layout, site preparation, underground or irrigation work, soil and grade, plant or material placement, finish detail, and cleanup.
