Landscape & Facilities Assistant

Turner Farm is hiring a Landscape & Facilities Assistant, working primarily at the Meshewa House estate and event venue. Care for gardens and grounds while supporting property upkeep and event preparation. What you will do • Plant, weed, prune, water, and maintain gardens, lawns, trees, and hardscapes. • Handle seasonal cleanup, winter preparation, exterior cleaning, and basic painting. • Prepare grounds for events and assist with furniture arrangements. How the work fits together Turner Farm is an organic farm and education center in Indian Hill, within the Cincinnati area. Its land includes gardens, fields, pastures, wooded areas, and habitat for domestic and wild animals. Bonnie Mitsui helped establish its organic focus in 1994, and the farm continues her commitment to low-impact food production and community learning. The adjoining Meshewa property shares that conservation mission. Agricultural easements protect both properties from future development, preserving more than 230 acres of woodland, pasture, and streams. This role supports the estate and visitor-facing spaces within that setting. It is primarily grounds and facilities work, with occasional landscaping elsewhere on the farm, rather than a vegetable-production or livestock position. What the employer is looking for • Bring groundskeeping experience and safe use of commercial landscape equipment and power tools. • Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. • Handle physically demanding outdoor work and lifting up to 75 pounds; irrigation knowledge is preferred. • Work reliably with limited supervision and pay close attention to presentation. Schedule, conditions, and compensation This is a full-time, hourly position reporting to the Facilities Director, with collaboration across grounds and events. Saturday availability is needed during peak event season. Work takes place in varying weather. The wage and benefits are discussed during hiring.
