Landscaping Crew Member

Kelly Lawn & Landscaping is hiring full-time landscaping crew members for professional installation work in Anchorage. The opening is aimed at people who already know how constructed landscapes come together and can contribute to retaining walls, paver areas, lawns, firepits, and related site work. Crew members combine skilled handwork with safe operation around excavation and material-handling equipment. What you will do • Install natural-stone or manufactured-block retaining walls to the crew lead's layout and quality standard. • Help build paver patios and walkways and prepare stable, properly graded bases. • Complete new lawn installations using sod or hydroseed methods as assigned. • Support firepit and other landscape-feature installations while protecting nearby plantings and property. • Operate excavators, skid steers, loaders, or other equipment only within demonstrated training and authorization. • Maintain a punctual, professional presence and follow instructions accurately at every job site. How the work fits together This is not a general no-experience labor listing. The employer expects crew members to understand installation sequencing, material handling, compaction and grade, equipment clearances, and finished appearance. A day may include loading at the Anchorage shop, preparing a site, setting hardscape or lawn materials, checking the completed work, and cleaning equipment. Coordination matters because one poorly prepared base or careless equipment movement affects the whole installation. What the employer is looking for • At least two years of professional landscape-installation experience with another company. • Experience with retaining walls, paver patios or walkways, sod or hydroseed lawns, firepits, or comparable installation work. • Equipment-operation experience with excavators, skid steers, loaders, or similar machines. • Age 18 or older, punctual and professional conduct, attention to detail, and ability to follow directions; a valid license without major recent infractions is preferred. Schedule, conditions, and compensation The employer states that pay is determined by experience and does not publish a dollar range, so no wage has been estimated here.
