Farm / Agriculture Manager

Boone Hall Farms is hiring an Agriculture Manager to lead food and cover-crop production in Mount Pleasant. Coordinate the farm team and connect growing decisions with the needs of Willie's Roadside Market. What you will do • Plan efficient crop production and lead the H-2A farm crew. • Manage relationships with coworkers and agricultural partners. • Connect production costs, crop choices, and retail sales. • Support educational programs, events, and agricultural improvements. How the work fits together Boone Hall's agricultural operation grows a varied selection of produce on approximately 120 acres of coastal farmland. Harvests reach local households through the roadside market and also supply area restaurants and stores. Pick-your-own crops and seasonal farm events give visitors an opportunity to see food production firsthand. The broader property has been protected through a conservation agreement initiated by the McRae family, keeping the landscape together for future generations. Within that setting, the farm remains an active producer rather than simply a historic backdrop. Its market emphasizes produce harvested close to the point of sale, so crop planning and retail demand are closely related. The Agriculture Manager helps maintain that connection while supporting the people and systems responsible for each harvest. What the employer is looking for • Have at least five years of related experience and an associate degree in a relevant field. • Communicate orally in English and Spanish and understand irrigation, soil nutrients, and equipment care. • Hold a driver's license and pesticide certification, or be able to obtain certification.
