What you will do • Seed, transplant, cultivate, irrigate, harvest, wash, pack, and store crops according to the farm's plan and food-safety procedures. • Use and care for assigned hand tools, wash-pack equipment, carts, and field equipment within training. • Monitor crops and communicate pest, disease, water, weather, quality, or harvest-timing concerns promptly. • Harvest specialty flowers at the correct stage, process stems carefully, wash buckets, maintain post-harvest cleanliness, and preserve quality through the farm's high-volume peak rhythm. • Weed and maintain beds, complete planting and crop transitions, assist with mowing or trimming, and help move hoophouses or complete other farm-infrastructure projects. • Attend to the honor-system farmstand, prepare it for customers, monitor and restock flowers, and make local deliveries when assigned and authorized to drive. Schedule, conditions, and compensation This is part-time seasonal work from April or May through November, Wednesday through Friday from 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Starting pay is $18–$20 per hour based on experience. Perks include flowers, plants, and tubers for the employee's garden, treats during the season, and an end-of-season bonus; conventional insurance or housing is not listed. The employer publishes $18–$20 per hour.
