About this job
Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch is hiring for the 2026 Fall Farm Crew Member position in Liberty, MO. This hands-on role supports the operation's day-to-day production and care work. Reliable execution and early communication matter because the work directly affects plants, animals, equipment, coworkers, customers, or the surrounding property.
What you will do
• Prepare the assigned farm attraction, guest area, produce display, equipment, or supplies before opening and keep the area orderly through the shift.
• Welcome visitors, explain the assigned activity or farm procedure clearly, and follow the employer's rules for safe guest movement and participation.
• Communicate crowd, weather, equipment, product, safety, or customer-service concerns to the farm lead promptly.
• Prepare and operate the assigned pumpkin-patch station, which may involve guest services, a ride or attraction, retail, food service, cooking, baking, animal work, or another farm-crew area matched to the employee's experience and age.
• Welcome families, explain the assigned activity or procedure clearly, maintain an upbeat presence, and seek a lead promptly when a guest, animal, equipment, food, or safety situation falls outside training.
• Keep the station clean, stocked, and ready through the shift, help neighboring crew members when traffic changes, and complete assigned closing, reset, or supply work before leaving.
How the work fits together
Agritourism work connects visitors with a working farm during a concentrated seasonal window. The team prepares before opening, checks the assigned area and supplies, welcomes and directs guests, resets the space throughout service, and completes an orderly close. Employees must balance warmth and efficiency with clear boundaries around farm equipment, animals, crops, traffic, food, and weather. At Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch, the employer also makes these role-specific priorities clear: Prepare and operate the assigned pumpkin-patch station, which may involve guest services, a ride or attraction, retail, food service, cooking, baking, animal work, or another farm-crew area matched to the employee's experience and age. Welcome families, explain the assigned activity or procedure clearly, maintain an upbeat presence, and seek a lead promptly when a guest, animal, equipment, food, or safety situation falls outside training. Keep the station clean, stocked, and ready through the shift, help neighboring crew members when traffic changes, and complete assigned closing, reset, or supply work before leaving.
What the employer is looking for
• At least 14 years old by September 15, 2026; employees who are 14 or 15 must work within applicable state rules, and some assignments may have a higher minimum age based on equipment or duties.
• Friendly, hard-working, flexible, and team-oriented, with availability for at least two shifts per week from September 19 through October 31 and dependable transportation to the Liberty farm.
• Dependable attendance, direct communication, and willingness to follow the employer's safety, quality, and customer- or production-care procedures.
• Ability to complete the role's active, in-person work and to ask for instruction before using unfamiliar tools, equipment, products, or animal-handling methods.
Schedule, conditions, and compensation
Both full-time and part-time seasonal schedules are available for the 2026 fall operation. Applicants must offer at least two shifts of availability per week for the September 19 through October 31 season, while identifying known conflicts in advance. The farm advertises flexible scheduling, food and merchandise discounts, admission discounts, and a farm-crew shirt and hat. It does not publish numeric compensation, exact shift lengths, or the hours attached to each department, so those terms should be confirmed when the farm schedules an on-site interview. The employer does not publish a numeric wage range on this page, so no compensation has been estimated. Applicants should confirm the final hours, overtime treatment, starting assignment, travel or reporting point, supplied equipment, and benefit eligibility directly with the employer before accepting an offer.
This is an in-person horticulture and outdoor position with a small operation. Daily priorities can change with weather, plant or animal condition, equipment availability, customer schedules, and the season. The successful person should arrive ready to work, communicate early when a task or condition is unclear, follow the employer's safety and quality procedures, and leave tools, vehicles, production areas, and job sites secure and ready for the next shift.
Applicants should expect active work that may include long periods of standing or walking, bending, lifting, repetitive hand tasks, noise, dust, mud, pollen, heat, cold, rain, or work around moving equipment. The exact physical demands differ by assignment. Candidates should discuss any accommodation needs with the employer and confirm the final schedule, overtime treatment, training period, travel expectations, and benefit eligibility before accepting an offer. Only compensation and benefits expressly published by the employer are included here; unpublished terms have not been estimated.
How to apply
Complete the new-employee contact form, select full-time or part-time interest, provide day-by-day availability, and identify the work areas that match your interests or experience. Applicants should also attend one of the listed open-interview sessions at the patch or follow the scheduling instructions sent by the farm.
