Spring Ledge Farm is hiring for the Fall Field Harvest Crew Member position in New London, NH. This hands-on role supports the operation's day-to-day production and care work. Reliable execution and early communication matter because the work directly affects plants, animals, equipment, coworkers, customers, or the surrounding property. What you will do • Seed, transplant, cultivate, irrigate, harvest, wash, pack, and store crops according to the farm's plan and food-safety procedures. • Use and care for assigned hand tools, wash-pack equipment, carts, and field equipment within training. • Monitor crops and communicate pest, disease, water, weather, quality, or harvest-timing concerns promptly. • Harvest mixed vegetables, sweet corn, tomatoes, and strawberries at the maturity and quality standard set for the farm stand, CSA, restaurant, or donation destination assigned that day. • Wash, grade, and pack produce carefully, preserving food safety, accurate crop lots, saleable quality, container organization, cold handling, and clear communication about shortages or culls. • Assist with weeding, planting, irrigation setup, and greenhouse-tomato pruning and trellising as field and harvest priorities allow, protecting crops and working consistently across the assigned row or block.
