Harmony Harvest Farm is hiring a year-round Field Crew Worker in Weyers Cave. Join the growing team producing cut flowers in a women-owned, family-operated farm business. What you will do • Prepare beds, plant crops, weed, water, and harvest flowers. • Monitor plant health, record observations, and report changes. • Prepare harvested stems for cooler storage. • Clean work areas and keep tools organized and ready to use. How the work fits together Sisters Jessica Hall and Stephanie Duncan operate Harmony Harvest with their mother, Chris Auville. The family established the business in 2011 and grows more than two hundred varieties of flowers on its Shenandoah Valley farm. Crops range from anemones and peonies to dahlias, hydrangeas, and heirloom chrysanthemums. Flowers serve both local visitors and customers receiving farm-grown bouquets and bulk stems by shipment. Pick-your-own experiences and events also bring people onto the property. The business connects the practical work of growing with the creative work of floral arranging, aiming to make seasonal American-grown flowers available to more people. What the employer is looking for • Be willing to learn; previous growing experience is not required. • Lift 50 pounds repeatedly, arrive for early starts, and work outdoors year-round. • Have transportation and a smartphone, communicate clearly, and adapt to tools and systems. Schedule, conditions, and compensation This is year-round outdoor work, including hot, cold, and wet weather. Hours are flexible and may include weekends with notice.
