Honeymann Custom Harvesting is hiring for the Harvest Equipment Operator position in Indianola, NE. This hands-on role supports the operation's day-to-day production and care work. Reliable execution and early communication matter because the work directly affects plants, animals, equipment, coworkers, customers, or the surrounding property. What you will do • Seed, transplant, cultivate, irrigate, harvest, wash, pack, and store crops according to the farm's plan and food-safety procedures. • Use and care for assigned hand tools, wash-pack equipment, carts, and field equipment within training. • Monitor crops and communicate pest, disease, water, weather, quality, or harvest-timing concerns promptly. • Operate the tractor, chopper, grain cart, or other assigned harvest machine after orientation, completing daily inspections and following the field plan, radio procedure, traffic pattern, and unloading sequence. • Monitor machine performance and crop flow, make only authorized adjustments, communicate field or mechanical problems early, and coordinate safely with combines, trucks, grain carts, customers, and other operators. • Clean, fuel, grease, service, and help move harvest equipment between fields and locations, keeping the cab, tools, parts, and shared living or work areas ready for a traveling crew.
