Harvest Lead
Spring Time Farm
👨🌾 🥕
About this job
Spring Time Farm is hiring an experienced Harvest Lead in Everson. Direct and participate in vegetable harvests while coordinating with the farm manager and postharvest lead.
What you will do
• Organize daily harvests and crew assignments for CSA and wholesale orders.
• Track crop availability, harvest counts, work pace, and quality.
• Train crew members in efficient handling and food-safety practices.
• Assist with transplanting, cultivation, irrigation, and equipment operation.
How the work fits together
Nick Spring and Sarah Robinson operate this family farm in the Nooksack Valley. Their growing program brings together vegetables, herbs, fruit, and flowers, connecting local households and regional buyers with a varied seasonal harvest. The farm's CSA extends well beyond midsummer, giving customers access to changing crops through much of the year. Wholesale relationships include chefs and other buyers interested in distinctive, well-grown produce. Organic production, responsible irrigation, and solar energy are part of the operation's approach to reducing its impact while growing useful food. The business has developed over more than a decade, drawing on family farming traditions as well as the owners' experience. A small seasonal crew carries out the work, making clear coordination between the field and packing area especially important when several crops and orders are ready together.
What the employer is looking for
• Have at least two years of vegetable-farming experience and one year leading a crew.
• Speak English and Spanish and communicate with steadiness and accountability.
• Bring physical stamina, organization, and initiative; tractor and mechanical skills are useful.
Schedule, conditions, and compensation
The full-time 2026 season extends through December. Advertised pay is $21 hourly, depending on experience, with overtime after 40 hours. Paid leave and produce benefits are included. Bonuses, housing assistance, and year-round work may be possible but are not guaranteed.
How to apply
Send a resume and two or three references to info@springtimefarm.com with Harvest Lead 2026 as the subject. Describe your vegetable-production and leadership experience, equipment skills, language abilities, and earliest start date. Applications are reviewed as received.
