About this job

Kelder's Farm is hiring Hayride Drivers for its 2026 fall season in Kerhonkson. Bring your tractor experience to a guest-facing role at a multigenerational Hudson Valley farm. The greatest staffing need is on September and October festival weekends, when families come out to enjoy the harvest and farm attractions. What you will do • Operate tractors for safe, enjoyable hayride experiences. • Help create a welcoming atmosphere for farm visitors. • Work with the seasonal team during the busy fall festival period. How the work fits together The Kelder family traces its farming history to 1779. The business grew from a traditional dairy farm with a small strawberry planting into a place where food production and farm visits happen side by side. Family members remain involved in tending crops, caring for animals, and welcoming the public, with the next generation bringing its own skills into the operation. Seasonal produce and activities help visitors make a connection with the land and the source of their food. Hayrides are part of that farm-based experience, giving drivers a role in the way guests encounter the property. The setting combines an established family farming tradition with the practical demands of an active visitor attraction. What the employer is looking for • Be at least 18 and have prior tractor-driving experience. • Have a driver's license or completed tractor-safety course. • Be reliable, positive, and available for busy fall weekends; list your exact availability when applying. Schedule, conditions, and compensation Pay starts at $19 an hour, with an end-of-season bonus. Scheduling includes flexible daytime and early-evening hours. Adult team perks include family season passes, transferable day passes, half-price food and drinks during shifts, and a 20% farm-market discount. Cross-training opportunities are available. How to apply Complete the application linked from Kelder's Farm's Employment page and identify the adult Hayride Driver position. Describe your tractor background, license or safety training, and preferred days. The farm is at 5755 US Route 209, Kerhonkson.
