Hydroseed Technician

LandMax is hiring a full-time hydroseed technician for 2026 work in the Mat-Su Valley and occasional Anchorage assignments. The position supports establishment of new turf by preparing and applying hydroseed mixes safely and consistently. It suits someone who is comfortable with physical field work, equipment, hoses, job-site cleanup, and changing weather; prior hydroseeding experience is preferred but not mandatory. What you will do • Help prepare hydroseed equipment, seed, mulch, amendments, water, hoses, and site materials for each assignment. • Assist with or perform uniform hydroseed application according to the trained mix and coverage plan. • Move and manage hoses without damaging structures, existing plantings, or prepared grade. • Inspect the work area and application pattern and alert the lead to clogs, weak flow, equipment problems, or missed coverage. • Flush and clean tanks, pumps, hoses, nozzles, tools, and the work area after application. • Complete related labor tasks and follow site, vehicle, and equipment safety requirements. How the work fits together Successful hydroseeding depends on preparation and cleanup as much as spraying. The technician confirms the day's site and materials, helps protect the prepared surface, follows the mixing and application sequence, and cleans the system before residue sets. Work occurs primarily around Mat-Su with some Anchorage travel. The employee should be able to stay productive during setup, repetitive hose handling, delays, and end-of-day equipment care. What the employer is looking for • Age 18 or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record. • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day. • Dependable attendance and willingness to work outdoors in variable conditions. • Previous hydroseeding experience is preferred but not required; applicants should describe related irrigation, pump, spray, landscape, turf, equipment, or labor experience. Schedule, conditions, and compensation The published range is $20–$30 per hour depending on experience and credentials. The employer lists full-time seasonal work, performance bonuses, paid time off, employer-provided tools, and access to some Davis-Bacon work. Applicants should confirm the remaining 2026 term, normal start time and weekly hours, travel expectations, bonus criteria, and when paid-time-off eligibility begins. This is an in-person horticulture and outdoor position with a small operation.
