Irrigation Technician

What you will do • Install, inspect, diagnose, or repair irrigation lines, valves, heads, wiring, and controllers within assigned skill level. • Test coverage and operation, document findings, and explain unresolved water or system issues to the lead. • Protect utilities, plant roots, finished surfaces, and customer property during excavation and repair. • Install irrigation systems and verify that they function efficiently before handoff. • Repair valves, trace electrical components, initialize clocks and timers, locate zones and valves, and perform assigned pump repairs. • Maintain inventory and cost records and build customer satisfaction through clear communication and regular site visits. The employee isolates the problem, completes authorized work, tests the affected zone and surrounding system, restores disturbed soil or landscape, and records material and follow-up needs before leaving.
