Hart Farm is hiring for the Organic Harvest Farm Crew position in Holden, ME. This hands-on role supports the operation's day-to-day production and care work. Reliable execution and early communication matter because the work directly affects plants, animals, equipment, coworkers, customers, or the surrounding property. What you will do • Seed, transplant, cultivate, irrigate, harvest, wash, pack, and store crops according to the farm's plan and food-safety procedures. • Use and care for assigned hand tools, wash-pack equipment, carts, and field equipment within training. • Monitor crops and communicate pest, disease, water, weather, quality, or harvest-timing concerns promptly. • Harvest certified-organic vegetables at the correct maturity, handle crops carefully, and move produce into the farm's wash, pack, storage, CSA, or market workflow. • Assist with wash-pack work and post-harvest sanitation, keeping harvest totes, food-contact spaces, tools, and containers clean and ready for the next crop or order. • Support trained tractor, compost, pasture-pork, cattle, fence, feed, or livestock-handling work when harvest priorities allow and the owners assign the task. Schedule, conditions, and compensation This is a seasonal Harvest Crew opening running from August through October 2026.
