Organic Vegetable Farm Crew Member

Roots to River Farm is hiring farm crew members in New Hope. Work with a small team growing six acres of organic vegetables for the farm's CSA, local customers, and kitchen. What you will do • Seed and plant vegetable crops as part of the production crew. • Weed and care for growing crops through the season. • Harvest vegetables and help distribute the farm's produce. How the work fits together Farmer Malaika Spencer and chef Ian Knauer bring growing and cooking together at Roots to River. The farm began in 2013 and supplies CSA members, restaurants, cooking classes, and farm dinners. Its Amara Kitchen and Tasting Room sits close to the fields, creating a place where customers can collect vegetables and enjoy meals built around the harvest. Radicchio, fennel, and herbs also contribute to the farm's aperitivo. Growing methods include reduced tillage, cover crops, compost, and integrated pest management, with attention to the soil and wider farm ecology. The crew's work begins in the fields, but its results are visible in several connected parts of the business. This close relationship between production and food preparation is central to the farm's identity and its connection with the surrounding community. Schedule, conditions, and compensation The farm is seeking one full-time worker or two part-time workers for its seasonal crew. Compensation is hourly, with vegetables, weekly pizza, and snacks.
