About this job

Fun Farm Pumpkin Patch is hiring for the Seasonal Farm Attractions Team Member position in Kearney, MO. This hands-on role supports the operation's day-to-day production and care work. Reliable execution and early communication matter because the work directly affects plants, animals, equipment, coworkers, customers, or the surrounding property. What you will do • Prepare the assigned farm attraction, guest area, produce display, equipment, or supplies before opening and keep the area orderly through the shift. • Welcome visitors, explain the assigned activity or farm procedure clearly, and follow the employer's rules for safe guest movement and participation. • Communicate crowd, weather, equipment, product, safety, or customer-service concerns to the farm lead promptly. • Open, monitor, reset, and close an assigned farm attraction or guest area, checking the station's supplies, cleanliness, boundaries, signs, and obvious safety issues before inviting visitors to participate. • Welcome guests, explain the attraction rules clearly, help families find the orchard, pumpkin patch, corn maze, farm animals, hayrides, food, and facilities, and involve a lead when a situation needs authority or technical attention. • Stay attentive during busy and evening operating hours, keep the assigned space orderly, help restock or cover neighboring stations, and communicate changing weather, crowd flow, damaged equipment, missing supplies, or guest concerns promptly. How the work fits together Agritourism work connects visitors with a working farm during a concentrated seasonal window. The team prepares before opening, checks the assigned area and supplies, welcomes and directs guests, resets the space throughout service, and completes an orderly close. Employees must balance warmth and efficiency with clear boundaries around farm equipment, animals, crops, traffic, food, and weather. At Fun Farm Pumpkin Patch, the employer also makes these role-specific priorities clear: Open, monitor, reset, and close an assigned farm attraction or guest area, checking the station's supplies, cleanliness, boundaries, signs, and obvious safety issues before inviting visitors to participate. Welcome guests, explain the attraction rules clearly, help families find the orchard, pumpkin patch, corn maze, farm animals, hayrides, food, and facilities, and involve a lead when a situation needs authority or technical attention. Stay attentive during busy and evening operating hours, keep the assigned space orderly, help restock or cover neighboring stations, and communicate changing weather, crowd flow, damaged equipment, missing supplies, or guest concerns promptly. What the employer is looking for • A polite, motivated, dependable approach to guest service and comfort working with many families in an active outdoor farm setting; prior attraction or farm experience is not listed as mandatory. • Availability for the farm's seasonal operating window, ability to stand and move through an outdoor shift, willingness to learn and enforce station rules, and flexibility to help with more than one form of farm or visitor work as trained. • Dependable attendance, direct communication, and willingness to follow the employer's safety, quality, and customer- or production-care procedures. • Ability to complete the role's active, in-person work and to ask for instruction before using unfamiliar tools, equipment, products, or animal-handling methods. Schedule, conditions, and compensation This is flexible seasonal work supporting the current CiderFest and fall-festival calendar. Public farm hours include weekends and Labor Day during CiderFest, followed by daytime, evening, and late-night operating hours on selected Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from September 18 through November 1. Individual shifts may begin before opening or end after closing. The employer does not publish the wage, minimum weekly commitment, shift length, or employee perks, so applicants should confirm those details before accepting an assignment. The employer does not publish a numeric wage range on this page, so no compensation has been estimated. Applicants should confirm the final hours, overtime treatment, starting assignment, travel or reporting point, supplied equipment, and benefit eligibility directly with the employer before accepting an offer. This is an in-person horticulture and outdoor position with a small operation. Daily priorities can change with weather, plant or animal condition, equipment availability, customer schedules, and the season. The successful person should arrive ready to work, communicate early when a task or condition is unclear, follow the employer's safety and quality procedures, and leave tools, vehicles, production areas, and job sites secure and ready for the next shift. Applicants should expect active work that may include long periods of standing or walking, bending, lifting, repetitive hand tasks, noise, dust, mud, pollen, heat, cold, rain, or work around moving equipment. The exact physical demands differ by assignment. Candidates should discuss any accommodation needs with the employer and confirm the final schedule, overtime treatment, training period, travel expectations, and benefit eligibility before accepting an offer. Only compensation and benefits expressly published by the employer are included here; unpublished terms have not been estimated. How to apply Download and complete the employment application from the Fun Farm employment page, then email it to fun@funfarmpumpkinpatch.com or submit it in person during normal operating hours. State that you are interested in farm-attraction work and provide complete availability through November 1.
