Vegetable Farm Team Member

Roxbury Farm CSA is hiring a Vegetable Farm Team Member in Kinderhook for the 2026 growing season. Join the team caring for organic crops and preparing food for CSA members. Sister farmers Jody Bolluyt and Keri Latiolais own and operate the farm with a small group of returning coworkers. What you will do • Participate in vegetable production from greenhouse seeding through harvest and packing. • Take on assignments that reflect your existing experience and the skills you want to develop. • Operate tractors and implements if you have the appropriate prior experience. How the work fits together The farm grows food through a direct partnership with its customers. Members know the farmers and the land behind their shares, while the CSA gives the growers a dependable market for the harvest. Roxbury plans production around those members' needs and works to reduce waste, including sharing produce left at distribution sites with food pantries. Its soil-grown vegetables are certified organic, and its growing system uses compost, rotations, and cover crops to maintain fertility. Most crops begin as seed on the farm, either in the greenhouses or directly in the fields. Working here means contributing to several stages of that cycle, in a business designed around the long-term relationship between growers, farmland, and the households they feed. What the employer is looking for • Bring three to five years of farming experience. • Work well with a team and pay close attention to the details of each assignment. • Be able to lift 50 pounds for the physical demands of vegetable production. Schedule, conditions, and compensation The season runs through mid-December. Compensation is an hourly wage based on experience, with on-farm housing, five paid sick days, and paid Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day holidays.
