About this job

Sweet Life Canna Co is hiring for the Cultivation Technician position in Long Beach, MS. This hands-on role supports the operation's day-to-day production and care work. Reliable execution and early communication matter because the work directly affects plants, animals, equipment, coworkers, customers, or the surrounding property. What you will do • Seed, transplant, space, prune, trellis, irrigate, harvest, or pack greenhouse crops according to the production plan. • Check environmental, irrigation, sanitation, and crop conditions and communicate deviations promptly. • Clean and organize tools, benches, channels, harvest containers, and production areas according to food- or plant-safety rules. • Support the daily care and maintenance of medical-cannabis plants through the full growth cycle, completing assigned propagation, transplanting, irrigation, pruning, plant-training, harvest, or room-reset work exactly as instructed. • Follow the current approved standard operating procedure for each task, document required work and observations accurately, and stop for clarification when a plant-care or compliance situation falls outside training. • Maintain clean tools, clothing practices, containers, surfaces, and cultivation areas; protect crop quality and consistency; and report pest, disease, irrigation, environmental, sanitation, or plant-development concerns promptly. How the work fits together Controlled-environment work is still driven by living crops. Employees begin with irrigation, climate, and crop-health checks, then complete scheduled propagation, cultural care, harvest, packing, and sanitation. Accurate observations and records help the small team respond before a minor equipment or crop issue becomes a production loss. At Sweet Life Canna Co, the employer also makes these role-specific priorities clear: Support the daily care and maintenance of medical-cannabis plants through the full growth cycle, completing assigned propagation, transplanting, irrigation, pruning, plant-training, harvest, or room-reset work exactly as instructed. Follow the current approved standard operating procedure for each task, document required work and observations accurately, and stop for clarification when a plant-care or compliance situation falls outside training. Maintain clean tools, clothing practices, containers, surfaces, and cultivation areas; protect crop quality and consistency; and report pest, disease, irrigation, environmental, sanitation, or plant-development concerns promptly. What the employer is looking for • A valid Mississippi cannabis worker permit or the ability to obtain one before the start date, plus willingness to complete onboarding, ongoing SOP training, signed acknowledgments, and role-specific competency verification. • Reliability, close attention to detail, comfort in a regulated environment, ability to follow written procedures precisely, consistent work habits, and interest in building a long-term cultivation career; prior cannabis experience is helpful but not mandatory. • Dependable attendance, direct communication, and willingness to follow the employer's safety, quality, and customer- or production-care procedures. • Ability to complete the role's active, in-person work and to ask for instruction before using unfamiliar tools, equipment, products, or animal-handling methods. Schedule, conditions, and compensation This is a full-time cultivation position at the Long Beach facility. Sweet Life does not publish the numeric wage, daily shift, weekly schedule, overtime expectations, or employee-benefit package for this opening. Candidates should ask about those terms, the worker-permit process and cost, physical demands, protective clothing, and the facility's attendance requirements during the interview. Initial onboarding must be completed before independent work, followed by recurring SOP training and competency checks. The employer does not publish a numeric wage range on this page, so no compensation has been estimated. Applicants should confirm the final hours, overtime treatment, starting assignment, travel or reporting point, supplied equipment, and benefit eligibility directly with the employer before accepting an offer. This is an in-person horticulture and outdoor position with a small operation. Daily priorities can change with weather, plant or animal condition, equipment availability, customer schedules, and the season. The successful person should arrive ready to work, communicate early when a task or condition is unclear, follow the employer's safety and quality procedures, and leave tools, vehicles, production areas, and job sites secure and ready for the next shift. Applicants should expect active work that may include long periods of standing or walking, bending, lifting, repetitive hand tasks, noise, dust, mud, pollen, heat, cold, rain, or work around moving equipment. The exact physical demands differ by assignment. Candidates should discuss any accommodation needs with the employer and confirm the final schedule, overtime treatment, training period, travel expectations, and benefit eligibility before accepting an offer. Only compensation and benefits expressly published by the employer are included here; unpublished terms have not been estimated. How to apply Download and complete the Sweet Life employment application linked from the careers page, then email it to info@sweetlifecannaco.com with “EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION” as the subject. Identify Cultivation Technician and include relevant regulated-production, horticulture, greenhouse, sanitation, inventory, or quality experience.
