Lescombes Family Vineyards is hiring an Electrical and Mechanical Lead at its Deming winery. Earn $25–$30 per hour in a full-time, hands-on role keeping production, bottling, and facility equipment operating reliably. What you will do • Plan maintenance work, guide technicians, and coordinate repairs with production staff. • Troubleshoot electrical controls, PLCs, motors, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. • Maintain equipment, weld or fabricate parts, and verify repairs. • Manage parts and maintenance records while upholding workplace and food-safety procedures. How the work fits together The Lescombes family's winemaking tradition spans six generations. Hervé planted the New Mexico vineyard in 1981, and the family's first local vintage followed in 1984. Emmanuel manages vineyard operations, while Florent oversees the winery. The vineyard lies west of Deming in the Pyramid Valley, growing more than thirty grape varieties in a high-desert climate with warm days and cool nights. At the Deming winery, barrel aging and hands-on winemaking work alongside filtration, laboratory testing, controlled cooling, and automated bottling. Maintenance supports that complete production process: dependable electrical and mechanical systems help the winemaking team move fruit and wine through processing, storage, and packaging while maintaining consistency. What the employer is looking for • Have at least five years of industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience. • Understand three-phase systems, motor controls, schematics, PLC troubleshooting, and basic welding. • Hold a high-school diploma or equivalent and a valid New Mexico driver's license. • Production-line, controls-programming, leadership, and Spanish-language skills are useful.
