About this job

Beachaven Vineyards & Winery is hiring for its production team in Clarksville. Earn $15–$25 per hour, depending on experience, while working across the cellar, bottling line, laboratory, and vineyard. What you will do • Test wine samples, report results, and carry out cellar work such as blending, filtration, and transfers. • Track inventory and maintain written and electronic production records. • Work on the bottling line and use winery equipment safely. • Help with seasonal pruning, vine training, crop checks, sampling, and harvest. How the work fits together Beachaven's roots lie in William Beach's interest in growing grapes and making wine in Clarksville. His son-in-law Ed Cooke joined that work, and the family established the commercial winery in 1986. Ed and Louisa Cooke continued developing the business, and their son Wilson now manages operations after gaining additional winemaking experience in Michigan and New Zealand. The winery makes a broad range of styles using its own vineyard fruit and grapes from other growers. Production remains based in Clarksville, connecting vineyard care, fermentation, finishing, and bottling. The small crew works directly with ownership and senior winemaking staff. This opening offers involvement across those stages rather than a single repetitive production assignment. What the employer is looking for • Bring a positive approach, mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn with a small team. • Cellar experience, chemistry or fermentation studies, and vineyard knowledge are preferred. • Have forklift certification and be comfortable with practical winery equipment. • Climb ladders, handle long workdays, and repeatedly lift 55 pounds when needed. Schedule, conditions, and compensation Full-time staff have access to a retirement plan. Paid leave and wine-education opportunities may become available after six months, depending on experience and performance. Advancement toward Assistant Winemaker is possible, not guaranteed. Employee discounts are offered. Discuss your schedule, training, and benefit eligibility during hiring. How to apply Complete the Production Team application, including available workdays, education, employment history, and reasons for wanting to join the winery. Describe relevant cellar, vineyard, equipment, or laboratory experience. The worksite is 1100 Dunlop Lane, Clarksville; questions can be directed to 931-645-8867.
