About this job

Mayse Farm Market is hiring for the Fall Tractor Driver position in Evansville, IN. This hands-on role supports the operation's day-to-day production and care work. Reliable execution and early communication matter because the work directly affects plants, animals, equipment, coworkers, customers, or the surrounding property. What you will do • Prepare the assigned farm attraction, guest area, produce display, equipment, or supplies before opening and keep the area orderly through the shift. • Welcome visitors, explain the assigned activity or farm procedure clearly, and follow the employer's rules for safe guest movement and participation. • Communicate crowd, weather, equipment, product, safety, or customer-service concerns to the farm lead promptly. • Operate the assigned farm tractor on the employer's approved fall route or attraction only after completing the farm's operating and guest-safety instruction. • Complete pre-use checks, keep the loading and travel area orderly, and follow the farm lead's process for safe boarding, movement, and unloading. • Coordinate with attraction attendants and supervisors, stop and report equipment, weather, route, traffic, or guest-safety concerns immediately. How the work fits together Agritourism work connects visitors with a working farm during a concentrated seasonal window. The team prepares before opening, checks the assigned area and supplies, welcomes and directs guests, resets the space throughout service, and completes an orderly close. Employees must balance warmth and efficiency with clear boundaries around farm equipment, animals, crops, traffic, food, and weather. At Mayse Farm Market, the employer also makes these role-specific priorities clear: Operate the assigned farm tractor on the employer's approved fall route or attraction only after completing the farm's operating and guest-safety instruction. Complete pre-use checks, keep the loading and travel area orderly, and follow the farm lead's process for safe boarding, movement, and unloading. Coordinate with attraction attendants and supervisors, stop and report equipment, weather, route, traffic, or guest-safety concerns immediately. What the employer is looking for • Applicants must be at least 18 years old, as stated for the 2026 Fall Tractor Driver option. • Dependable Saturday and Sunday availability during the fall season and willingness to meet the farm's stated busy-weekend and fall-break expectations. • Dependable attendance, direct communication, and willingness to follow the employer's safety, quality, and customer- or production-care procedures. • Ability to complete the role's active, in-person work and to ask for instruction before using unfamiliar tools, equipment, products, or animal-handling methods. Schedule, conditions, and compensation The employer identifies this as a Saturday-and-Sunday fall opening and asks fall applicants about all-day availability October 12–16, 2026. The application does not publish numeric pay, daily hours, a benefit package, or a precise season end. The employer does not publish a numeric wage range on this page, so no compensation has been estimated. Applicants should confirm the final hours, overtime treatment, starting assignment, travel or reporting point, supplied equipment, and benefit eligibility directly with the employer before accepting an offer. This is an in-person horticulture and outdoor position with a small operation. Daily priorities can change with weather, plant or animal condition, equipment availability, customer schedules, and the season. The successful person should arrive ready to work, communicate early when a task or condition is unclear, follow the employer's safety and quality procedures, and leave tools, vehicles, production areas, and job sites secure and ready for the next shift. Applicants should expect active work that may include long periods of standing or walking, bending, lifting, repetitive hand tasks, noise, dust, mud, pollen, heat, cold, rain, or work around moving equipment. The exact physical demands differ by assignment. Candidates should discuss any accommodation needs with the employer and confirm the final schedule, overtime treatment, training period, travel expectations, and benefit eligibility before accepting an offer. Only compensation and benefits expressly published by the employer are included here; unpublished terms have not been estimated. How to apply Complete Mayse Farm Market's direct 2026 employment form and choose 2026 Fall Tractor Driver - Sat & Sun.
