Fall Wagon-Ride Tractor Driver

Mt. Airy Orchards is hiring tractor drivers for its autumn wagon rides in Dillsburg. Spend fall weekends outdoors, driving guests through the farm and helping make their visit friendly and enjoyable. What you will do • Drive the tractor for scheduled guest wagon rides. • Interact warmly with riders and contribute to an enjoyable farm visit. • Participate in paid training for your assigned work. How the work fits together Dan and Karen purchased the orchard in 1999 after deciding to return to Pennsylvania and build a life around farming. Their original operation sold peaches, nectarines, and apples from a simple stand. Over time, they added more fruit varieties, berries, pumpkins, a commercial kitchen, and opportunities for customers to spend time on the land. Today, roughly 150 acres support fruit growing alongside pick-your-own visits, educational tours, seasonal events, and a corn maze. The wagon rides are part of that connection between production and the public. Guests can see the farm as a place where food is grown while enjoying time together outside. Friendly staff help carry the family's approach to customer service throughout the property. What the employer is looking for • Be at least 18 years old. • Enjoy talking with people and helping guests have a good experience. • Be available for weekend work during the fall season. Schedule, conditions, and compensation Rides operate Saturdays and Sundays in September and October, plus Labor Day and Columbus Day. Pay is discussed during hiring. Staff receive a work T-shirt, product discounts, free attraction admission for themselves and immediate family, and an end-of-season celebration.
