Farm Field Trip Team Member

Mainstay Farm is hiring seasonal Field Trip Team Members for its fall and Christmas school visits. Help elementary-age children enjoy an organized, educational day at a family farm in Cleburne. What you will do • Lead and assist school groups during their farm visit. • Work with students, parents, and teachers to keep activities organized. • Support assigned field-trip attractions, such as hayride education or activity supervision. • Help prepare and decorate the farm for seasonal events. How the work fits together Jim and Marianna Wilson moved to Mainstay Farm in 1989 because they wanted to raise their family in the country. The property had previously grown peanuts and needed work on its fences, farmhouse, and overgrown ground. Christmas-tree planting began soon after the move, establishing the agricultural roots of the business. The farm's name reflects both the family's Christian faith and the supporting stakes used with young trees. Those beginnings grew into a visitor-focused farm with seasonal activities and school programs. Its emphasis on hospitality sits alongside a desire to introduce visitors to agriculture. Field-trip staff contribute to that educational side, helping turn a class outing into a welcoming experience of farm life and outdoor play. What the employer is looking for • Be at least 18 for weekday field-trip work. • Be responsible, detail-oriented, comfortable outdoors, and happy working with children. • Have reliable transportation and commit to at least half of the relevant seasonal workdays. • Complete a background check for field-trip employment. Schedule, conditions, and compensation Fall and Christmas field trips run September–December. Weekday availability is requested for 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Attend a new-crew session on August 29 or September 3 and the September 13 all-staff training. Pay is discussed with the farm.
