Farm Hand / Grounds Worker

McArthur Farms is hiring a Farm Hand / Grounds Worker in Bennettsville. Help keep the farm, market, and visitor areas operating through hands-on maintenance, equipment work, and support for daily activities and events. What you will do • Maintain grounds and the farm's fun park, including mowing and general upkeep. • Operate tractors and other equipment. • Pick up produce and load or unload market inventory. • Assist with field trips, farm events, and other daily operations. How the work fits together Rebecca McArthur grew up in Marlboro County and developed the farm while also working as a registered nurse. What began with twenty acres and a tent expanded into a permanent market in 2007. The farm grows fruit, vegetables, and row crops, with strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries among its specialties. Its market and seasonal attractions welcome both local customers and people traveling through the area. Rebecca's team, known as the Corn Crew, supports those agricultural and visitor-facing parts of the business together. The Farm Hand helps maintain the practical setting that makes them work: usable grounds, functioning attractions, moved inventory, and dependable equipment support. This is a varied farm-support position with a significant maintenance component, rather than a role devoted solely to crop harvesting. What the employer is looking for • Have a valid driver's license and be at least 16 years old. • Be self-motivated, hardworking, courteous, and ready to work in outdoor conditions. • Provide work history, skills, and three non-family references.
