Farm Store and Marketing Associate

Watson Farms is hiring a part-time Farm Store and Marketing Associate near Lowrys. Combine customer service, shop organization, and creative communications for a family farm selling pasture-raised meat directly to households. What you will do • Run the store, restock products, and update inventory records. • Create social posts and gather farm photographs and videos. • Answer customer calls and emails and resolve order questions. • Make basic website updates and suggest ways to improve service. How the work fits together The Watson family moved its farming operation from Indiana to Chester County in 1979. After years in conventional crop and poultry production, the family began shifting toward regenerative methods in 2007. Kelly joined the farm full-time in 2012, and the business ended its contract poultry arrangement in 2020. Cattle, pigs, and chickens are now raised on pasture, supported by fencing, water systems, and planned movement between grazing areas. The family has protected 350 acres through a conservation easement. Direct sales through the farm store and shipping connect that work with customers. This role helps maintain those relationships by making products accessible, answering practical questions, and communicating the story of a farm that has deliberately changed how it produces food. What the employer is looking for • Communicate clearly, write engagingly, and be eager to learn the farm's products. • Use or learn Zendesk, WordPress/WooCommerce, Google Workspace, Adobe tools, and social platforms. • Show initiative and interest in a long-term connection with the business. Schedule, conditions, and compensation Pay is $15–$18/hour with a 15% product discount. Work approximately 17 hours weekly, Thursday and Friday, 9:45 a.m.–6:15 p.m. Occasional extra days cover absences or farm events. This is on-site work at 713 Colony Road.
