Naked Acre Farm is hiring a Full-Time Farm Worker for its 2026 crew in Hyde Park. Participate in small-scale organic vegetable production, from greenhouse propagation to harvesting and preparing food for customers. What you will do • Harvest vegetables and help wash, pack, and check produce quality. • Seed and transplant crops, cultivate beds, and remove weeds. • Help with greenhouse propagation, microgreens, and high-tunnel crops. • Learn the farm's production systems and work both with the crew and independently. How the work fits together Ryan Demarest began farming in the Pacific Northwest before returning east and establishing his own vegetable business in Vermont. His first garlic planting and hand-worked market garden grew into an operation serving chefs and produce buyers. After several seasons on leased ground, Ryan and Genica found a permanent home for their work in Hyde Park. Their forty-acre property gave them the stability to develop vegetable production and related flower-growing activities over time. Naked Acre supplies food through local stores, restaurants, and a CSA, keeping its focus on a manageable, diversified growing operation. The farm's history is one of gradually building practical skills, equipment, and customer relationships. Crew members join that hands-on approach to growing and preparing fresh food in northern Vermont. What the employer is looking for • Bring relevant growing experience, motivation, and a positive attitude. • Communicate clearly and work effectively alone or with others. • Be comfortable lifting and carrying harvest containers, bending, kneeling, and working outside.
