General Farmhand — Fall and Christmas Activities

Mayfield Farm Park is hiring General Farmhands to help visitors enjoy its corn mazes and farm activities in Athens. This seasonal role supports the fall festival and Christmas events at the family-run farm park. What you will do • Help in the corn maze and at activities around the farm. • Work with visiting children and families during seasonal events. • Support the activity team during your agreed shifts. How the work fits together Michael Mayfield returned to fruit and vegetable farming in 2006, and the family's corn maze opened in 2008. He and his wife Jamie developed that operation into today's farm park. The property is separate from the nearby commercial dairy business, which the family sold decades earlier. Forty acres now combine pumpkins, corn mazes, and outdoor activities for families. The fall offering includes fifty pumpkin varieties, three mazes, a silo light show, zip lines, and a mountain slide. School visits on Thursdays and Fridays in October introduce students to the farm's milk-production history through teacher-led activities. A Christmas festival adds another visitor season in December. General Farmhands work on the visitor-facing side of this setting: the opening concerns the maze and attractions, rather than a position milking cows or managing a production herd.
