Fairview Garden Center is hiring a part-time Greenhouse Retail Sales Associate in Raleigh. Bring your knowledge of houseplants, annual flowers, tropical plants, and herbs to a customer-facing role at a multigenerational family nursery. What you will do • Provide helpful service to greenhouse shoppers. • Use plant knowledge to help customers make suitable selections. • Work cooperatively with the retail team and handle the physical demands of greenhouse sales. How the work fits together Jo Ann Dewar's interest in gardening grew into a family business now involving her children and grandchildren. Fairview raises annual flowers, houseplants, herbs, vegetables, and seasonal crops such as poinsettias in two acres of greenhouses. Outdoor areas hold trees, shrubs, perennials, and groundcovers, while the garden center offers supplies, pottery, and gifts. Staff help people choose plants for their growing conditions, understand pest problems, and plan containers and other home-gardening projects. Classes cover subjects including vegetable growing, soil preparation, pruning, and container design. The greenhouse sales position connects that locally grown inventory with the people who will take it home. It is especially suited to someone who enjoys discussing plants, listening to a customer's needs, and contributing their knowledge within a small, family-operated garden-center setting. Schedule, conditions, and compensation The schedule is 20–30 hours weekly and includes weekends. This is an on-site greenhouse retail position, not remote work.
