Hay Ride Operator — Fall Pumpkin Festival

Western Belle Farm is hiring a Hay Ride Operator for its fall Pumpkin Festival in West, just north of Waco. Bring tractor-driving experience to a part-time role helping visitors enjoy a seasonal outing on a family farm. What you will do • Operate the tractor for the farm's visitor hay rides. • Work with the festival team to provide a welcoming guest experience. • Commit to the agreed seasonal shifts and communicate your availability clearly. How the work fits together Brandon and Taylor Huffman are fourth-generation farmers who moved to Texas with their young children in late 2021. After years of growing crops and running a pumpkin attraction in Maryland, they chose to build a new family operation near West. Work on Western Belle began in early 2022, followed by its first sunflower and pumpkin festivals that year. The farm now grows specialty crops including strawberries, sunflowers, and pumpkins, pairing the growing seasons with public visits. The Huffmans develop activities around those crops and the experience of spending time together outdoors. Hay rides are part of that visitor setting, alongside flower fields, seasonal picking, and other farm attractions. The business remains closely tied to the family's farming background and its interest in welcoming the surrounding community onto the land. What the employer is looking for • Be at least 18 for the hay-ride driving role. • Have experience operating tractors. • Be energetic, reliable, and comfortable working outdoors around visitors. • Bring clear communication and a cooperative approach to seasonal teamwork. Schedule, conditions, and compensation The 2026 Pumpkin Festival runs September 26–November 8. This is part-time seasonal work, primarily around weekend festival operations. Flexible shifts are available by agreement. Confirm the operator schedule and pay during the interview; weekday field trips may also affect staffing needs.
