Quarry Hill Orchards is hiring seasonal Market Barn Retail Staff in Berlin Heights. Welcome visitors, help them enjoy the fruit harvest, and keep purchases moving smoothly at a family-run orchard market. What you will do • Greet and assist guests, offer fruit samples, and prepare and serve popcorn. • Process payments accurately, bag purchases, and handle produce. • Help with opening, closing, and daily market cleaning and organization. How the work fits together Quarry Hill is a third-generation family orchard established in 1931. Its 130-acre fruit farm grows apples, peaches, pears, plums, cherries, and nectarines. The market is the point where that fruit reaches visitors, alongside seasonal experiences that invite people to spend time in the orchard. Small-batch fruit ice cream and an adjoining winery add to the farm's offerings, but fresh fruit remains central to the business. The newer Market Barn sits at the corner of Mason and Humm Roads, with its own visitor entrance off Mason Road. Working there means helping customers in an active farm setting, where the produce selection follows the harvest and busy days bring families, children, and dogs to the property. What the employer is looking for • Be at least 18 and have reliable transportation. • Bring customer-service experience, dependability, and comfort with multitasking. • Be willing to handle produce; occasional lifting of 40-pound apple crates is preferred. • Enjoy working with people and follow the farm's no-smoking policy. Schedule, conditions, and compensation Full-time seasonal schedules are 40–50 hours weekly; part-time schedules are 15–30 hours. Both require one Saturday or Sunday each week. The retail season generally runs into mid-January, beyond the main harvest. Hourly pay is discussed during the initial phone conversation, and training is provided.
