White House Fruit Farm is hiring team members to help prepare fresh produce behind the scenes at its Canfield farm market. The back room role focuses on grading and packing fruit and vegetables and receiving deliveries for the market. What you will do • Grade produce and prepare it for sale to customers. • Pack fruit and vegetables and help get fresh produce ready for the shelves. • Receive deliveries as part of the back room team. • Contribute to a busy farm-market operation with dependable, cooperative work. How the work fits together The Hull family has farmed this property since 1924. Its fruit-growing tradition developed into a retail fruit and vegetable business, and an old bank barn was converted into a year-round market in 1978. Several generations of the family now run the farm and grow more than seventy-five acres of fruit and vegetables. The market connects that growing operation with local shoppers and includes produce, specialty foods, a bakery, and a deli. The back room team supports the produce side of this business: fruit and vegetables need to be assessed and packed before they are ready for customers. It is a practical, behind-the-scenes contribution to a family agricultural business that serves the community throughout the year. What the employer is looking for • Be comfortable remaining on your feet for extended periods. • Bring a friendly attitude, reliability, responsibility, and a willingness to learn. • Be available for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday work; weekend availability is required.
