About this job

Ferrari Farms is hiring for the 2026 Seasonal Farm & Event Team Member position in Reno, NV. This hands-on role supports the operation's day-to-day production and care work. Reliable execution and early communication matter because the work directly affects plants, animals, equipment, coworkers, customers, or the surrounding property. What you will do β€’ Prepare the assigned farm attraction, guest area, produce display, equipment, or supplies before opening and keep the area orderly through the shift. β€’ Welcome visitors, explain the assigned activity or farm procedure clearly, and follow the employer's rules for safe guest movement and participation. β€’ Communicate crowd, weather, equipment, product, safety, or customer-service concerns to the farm lead promptly. β€’ Prepare and reset the assigned pumpkin-patch, sunflower-field, corn-maze, animal, vendor, food, activity, parking, or barn-event area according to the farm lead's opening and closing checklist. β€’ Welcome guests, answer basic event and farm questions, explain assigned activity boundaries, help direct foot and vehicle traffic, and contact a lead when weather, animals, equipment, crowds, or behavior creates a concern. β€’ Move pumpkins, signs, barriers, tables, containers, supplies, and waste carefully; restock and clean assigned areas; and leave crop rows, animal spaces, visitor paths, and shared farm areas orderly. How the work fits together Agritourism work connects visitors with a working farm during a concentrated seasonal window. The team prepares before opening, checks the assigned area and supplies, welcomes and directs guests, resets the space throughout service, and completes an orderly close. Employees must balance warmth and efficiency with clear boundaries around farm equipment, animals, crops, traffic, food, and weather. At Ferrari Farms, the employer also makes these role-specific priorities clear: Prepare and reset the assigned pumpkin-patch, sunflower-field, corn-maze, animal, vendor, food, activity, parking, or barn-event area according to the farm lead's opening and closing checklist. Welcome guests, answer basic event and farm questions, explain assigned activity boundaries, help direct foot and vehicle traffic, and contact a lead when weather, animals, equipment, crowds, or behavior creates a concern. Move pumpkins, signs, barriers, tables, containers, supplies, and waste carefully; restock and clean assigned areas; and leave crop rows, animal spaces, visitor paths, and shared farm areas orderly. What the employer is looking for β€’ Friendly, hardworking, and comfortable outdoors in an active family-farm setting, with dependable attendance and the judgment to protect guests, animals, crops, equipment, vendors, and coworkers. β€’ Availability that matches the events selected on the application, including the agreed evenings or weekends, plus ability to complete the lifting, standing, walking, cleaning, setup, and customer-facing work assigned. β€’ Dependable attendance, direct communication, and willingness to follow the employer's safety, quality, and customer- or production-care procedures. β€’ Ability to complete the role's active, in-person work and to ask for instruction before using unfamiliar tools, equipment, products, or animal-handling methods. Schedule, conditions, and compensation This is seasonal and event-based work at 4701 Mill Street in Reno. The 2026 pumpkin patch is scheduled for September 26 through November 1, with public fall-festival hours of 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Other farm events include evening barn dances. Employee shifts may begin before opening or continue after closing. The farm does not publish the wage, guaranteed hours, exact season dates for each assignment, overtime treatment, or benefits, so confirm those items during hiring. The employer does not publish a numeric wage range on this page, so no compensation has been estimated. Applicants should confirm the final hours, overtime treatment, starting assignment, travel or reporting point, supplied equipment, and benefit eligibility directly with the employer before accepting an offer. This is an in-person horticulture and outdoor position with a small operation. Daily priorities can change with weather, plant or animal condition, equipment availability, customer schedules, and the season. The successful person should arrive ready to work, communicate early when a task or condition is unclear, follow the employer's safety and quality procedures, and leave tools, vehicles, production areas, and job sites secure and ready for the next shift. Applicants should expect active work that may include long periods of standing or walking, bending, lifting, repetitive hand tasks, noise, dust, mud, pollen, heat, cold, rain, or work around moving equipment. The exact physical demands differ by assignment. Candidates should discuss any accommodation needs with the employer and confirm the final schedule, overtime treatment, training period, travel expectations, and benefit eligibility before accepting an offer. Only compensation and benefits expressly published by the employer are included here; unpublished terms have not been estimated. How to apply Download and complete the farm's employment application. Name the seasonal or event work you are prepared to do, list complete weekday, evening, and weekend availability, and provide an accurate work history and references. Return the form using the instructions printed on it or contact Ferrari Farms at the number on its site if the return method is unclear. Do not leave availability or prior-employment sections blank when they apply.
