Seed Warehouse Staff Member

Pine Creek Seed Farm is hiring a Warehouse Staff Member in Jersey Shore. Prepare agricultural seed for customers, handle inventory, and operate packaging and material-handling equipment at the family's seed business. What you will do • Pick, bag, label, palletize, and prepare seed orders for shipment. • Load and unload deliveries and move stock safely using a forklift. • Maintain inventory accuracy, product quality, and organized work areas. • Inspect equipment, perform minor maintenance, and assist with some farm work. How the work fits together The property has a long history in seed production and distribution. T. A. Doebler began a seed business in Jersey Shore in 1932, serving farmers who needed dependable crop seed. His great-grandson, Chris McCracken, later purchased the original site and adapted its processing plant and warehouse for a new small-seeds operation. Family members remain involved in human resources, sales, and warehouse management. Pine Creek now provides cleaning, grading, blending, packaging, and distribution services for seed producers and suppliers. Accurate handling matters at each stage: customers need the correct seed, prepared to specification, and ready for the next step in distribution. This role supports that practical link between seed suppliers and the farms that plant their products. What the employer is looking for • Have a high-school diploma or equivalent and two years of related warehouse experience. • Hold a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and have forklift-operating experience. • Lift 40–60 pounds, stand for long periods, and pass background and drug screening. Schedule, conditions, and compensation Compensation is discussed during hiring. A part-time arrangement may be considered for a suitable candidate. OSHA forklift certification is preferred.
