About this job

Honey Field Farm is hiring a Vegetable Field Production Crew Member in Norwich. Join a small team growing organic crops and preparing fresh produce for customers across the Upper Valley. What you will do • Seed, transplant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables. • Wash and pack produce for farm sales and wholesale orders. • Help solve production problems and cross-train in other farm tasks. • Develop skills in areas such as tomatoes, irrigation, wash-pack work, or equipment. How the work fits together Valerie and Eli established Honey Field Farm in 2020 after several years running a part-time vegetable business together. Their Norwich property continues the agricultural use of the former Killdeer Farm site. Fifteen acres of vegetables supply local and regional buyers, a CSA, farmers markets, and the farm stand. Greenhouses also produce flower starts and edible plants for home gardeners. Hot peppers are a particular specialty, with dozens of varieties grown for fresh sales and Vermont sauce makers. Organic certification, crop rotation, soil testing, and produce-safety practices are important parts of the operation. The owners bring experience from different farms and emphasize explaining the reasons behind their methods. Crew members work in a community-oriented business that connects field production with a range of nearby food outlets. What the employer is looking for • Outdoor production or farming experience is preferred. • Lift 45 pounds and perform repetitive work outdoors and in greenhouses. • Communicate well, work reliably, and have dependable transportation and valid ID. Schedule, conditions, and compensation Pay is generally $16–$18 hourly, depending on skills. Full-time seasonal work is 30–40 hours weekly through November. Paid breaks, produce, plants, and staff discounts are available. Housing and H-2A sponsorship are not provided. How to apply Complete the 2026 New Crew application and select full-time Field Production Crew. Then email your resume to info@honeyfieldfarmvt.com; a cover letter is optional. Provide your actual start date, availability, and schedule conflicts.
