Vegetable Field Worker

Willow Haven Farm is hiring a growing-season Field Worker in New Tripoli. Help produce vegetables for the farm's customers through a mix of tractor work, crop care, and harvesting. What you will do • Operate and maintain tractors and implements for field preparation, planting, cultivation, spraying, and harvest. • Install and repair irrigation and move transplants from greenhouse to field. • Assist with vegetable production from seeding through post-harvest handling. How the work fits together Reuben and Tessa DeMaster have farmed in the Lehigh Valley since 2009. Their family operation combines vegetable fields with pasture-raised animals and a year-round online market. Customers can customize a Market Box or shop individual products, choosing pickup or delivery options. The farm also works with other local producers to offer foods beyond what it raises itself. Its growing approach uses crop rotation, cover crops, mulch, and drip irrigation to build soil and manage water. The family works alongside a small team to harvest, pack, and prepare food for its community. Field production is a foundation of that wider business: the quality and availability of the vegetables influence what households can order throughout the changing seasons. What the employer is looking for • Have experience operating agricultural equipment and a valid driver's license. • Lift 60 pounds and perform frequent bending, stooping, and repetitive tasks. • Be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Schedule, conditions, and compensation The growing-season position runs through December 12, 2026, with 44 hours weekly Monday–Saturday. The stated hourly rate is $17.99, or $16.47 for H-2A workers.
