About this job

Denver Downs Farm is hiring seasonal team members for its 2026 fall festival in Anderson. Bring an outgoing, courteous approach to a busy farm attraction and help visitors enjoy their time on the property. What you will do • Provide friendly service to festival guests. • Work with the farm's team in an active, public-facing environment. • Bring enthusiasm and a willingness to meet customers' needs. How the work fits together The Garrison family has owned Denver Downs since 1869. Over generations, the farm changed from cotton production to dairy farming and later to crops, cattle, and seasonal public events. School visits began during its dairy years, creating a longstanding connection between agriculture and family experiences. Today, fourth-generation owners Lee Garrison Smith, Catherine Garrison Davis, and Elizabeth Garrison Rasor continue that tradition. The fall festival brings people to the land for a corn maze, pumpkins, music, and other outdoor attractions. Staff contribute to the welcoming atmosphere that makes those visits possible. This is visitor-service work within an agricultural attraction, rather than a crop-harvesting position. The setting suits someone who enjoys being outdoors, meeting many different people, and working as part of an energetic seasonal team. What the employer is looking for • Be at least 16; positions for younger applicants are already filled. • Be courteous, motivated, and comfortable interacting with customers. • Provide references and explain any outdoor, children’s-group, volunteer, or work experience. Schedule, conditions, and compensation The festival runs selected dates September 25–November 15. Friday evening and weekend availability is requested; Saturday shifts are approximately six to eight hours. Pay and your specific assignment are discussed during hiring. Some shifts extend beyond 7 p.m. How to apply Complete the online Employment Application, including three non-family references and your available dates. Applicants are notified about face-to-face interviews at the farm's hay barn, 1515 Denver Road, or a separately arranged interview.
