Farm Maintenance Crew Member

Adam's Berry Farm is hiring a part-time Farm Maintenance Crew Member in Charlotte. Help maintain the grounds of a working organic berry farm with a flexible schedule of about ten hours weekly. What you will do • Mow farm areas using appropriate equipment. • Use a string trimmer and help maintain hedgerows. • Work independently to keep agreed maintenance tasks on track. • Coordinate your work schedule with the farm's needs. How the work fits together Adam's Berry Farm began in 2001 with a few hundred berry plants in Lincoln. The business later developed in Burlington's Intervale before repeated flooding prompted a move to conserved land in East Charlotte. The farm now combines organic strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and flowers with a farm stand and seasonal pick-your-own visits. Relationships with chefs, food businesses, breweries, and neighboring farms are part of its local market network. The owners place importance on helping customers understand how their food is grown and on making the farm a welcoming place to spend time. Its permanent property offers room for growing crops and connecting with visitors. Maintenance work supports this combination of productive fields, practical farm infrastructure, and publicly enjoyed outdoor space. What the employer is looking for • Be familiar with riding mowers, brush hogs, string trimmers, or equivalent small equipment. • Be able to work independently and maintain a reliable pace. • Bring a positive attitude and communicate clearly with the farm team. Schedule, conditions, and compensation The position is approximately ten hours per week. Days and times can be arranged flexibly as long as the farm's maintenance needs are met.
