Banner Greenhouses is hiring full-time Greenhouse Growers in Nebo. Learn to raise bedding flowers and vegetable transplants with an experienced growing team at a second-generation family business. Previous greenhouse experience is not required: the nursery provides training for people with a genuine interest in plants and a dependable approach to work. What you will do • Participate in greenhouse production, helping plants develop from seedlings into flowering plants and vegetable transplants. • Learn the growing requirements of different crops from experienced managers and growers. • Bring consistent attention and focus to plant care as crops and seasonal production needs change. How the work fits together Banner has grown flowering annuals and vegetable plants since 1991. Its greenhouse site covers almost eighteen acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, supplying customers across the southeastern and mid-Atlantic states. The growing program includes CCOF-certified organic vegetable plugs and transplants, herbs, strawberries, tomatoes, and edible flowers. Its product range gives growers exposure to different crops and stages of plant development. The nursery also holds an A rating through MPS, whose environmental assessment considers water, energy, chemical use, biological pest management, recycling, and organic methods. Experienced staff provide the crop knowledge behind this production, with attention to the particular needs of each variety. This is a plant-growing position within the greenhouse operation.
