Greenhouse Team Member

Head-Lee Nursery is hiring a full-time Greenhouse Team Member in Seneca. Combine daily watering and hands-on plant handling with helpful customer service at an independent nursery serving the South Carolina Upstate. What you will do • Complete daily watering periods lasting two to three hours. • Load plants into customers' vehicles and move bagged soil. • Provide helpful service and work cooperatively with the nursery team. • Take initiative and manage changing priorities in a busy greenhouse setting. How the work fits together Harold and Roberta Head started the nursery in 1982, and Bill and Karen Head later expanded its growing areas and tropical greenhouse. Matt Fowler now leads the business, continuing its focus on plant knowledge and relationships with local gardeners. The nursery offers indoor and outdoor plants alongside gardening supplies and practical advice. Its work has included developing new plant varieties and improving water conservation through ponds, channels, and the reuse of captured runoff. The greenhouse is part of that broader commitment to healthy plants and careful growing. Team members help maintain a place where experienced gardeners and people buying their first plants can both find useful guidance. The role combines the physical attention plants need with the personal service expected from a local nursery. What the employer is looking for • Be dependable, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable learning quickly. • Remain on your feet for extended periods and work for hours in extreme heat. • Lift 40–50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day. Schedule, conditions, and compensation Work five days weekly in eight-hour shifts, including Saturdays.
